Like the days of summer slowly growing shorter, the Free Poker Network Summer Season is inching toward its final stretch. With Tuesday marking our second double-point night of the season, the stakes couldn’t have been higher. Just one month remains in what is shaping up to be one of our most competitive seasons yet, and 25 determined Mavericks turned out, each eager to leave their mark on the leaderboard.

Cards were drawn, seats were claimed, and with a call to “shuffle up and deal,” the action began!

Game One saw no easy tables—every hand was a battle. But when the dust settled, Amber Soper, Scott Sutter, and Jim Elwart emerged victorious, staking their early claims to the night’s glory.

In Game Two, the points race took a twist as three new winners—Mike Soper, Steve Cooper, and Amanda Dudek—shook up the standings and set the stage for a dramatic final round.

Going into Game Three, it was Sutter and Soper (Scott and Amber) in the driver’s seat, but the chase pack of Mike Baker, Jim Elwart, and Rick Hoag was waiting for any misstep. The leaders held their ground with fierce play: Sutter finished second at his table, while Cooper, Mike Soper, and Amber Soper all closed the night strong with final-game wins.

One moment stood out above all: Amber Soper hit trip four hands in a row—a mind-blowing 1-in-62,500 shot (that’s just 0.0016%!)

When the final points were tallied:

  • 1st – Amber Soper

  • 2nd – Scott Sutter

  • 3rd – Mike Soper

As the dust settled, the Clash of Kings and Queens Promo leaderboard shifted dramatically:

  • Amber vaulted to first place,

  • Jim Elwart held strong at second,

  • Mike Soper and Scott Sutter moved into third and fourth,

  • Drew Bovee, after a tough night, slipped to fifth.

With five more Tuesdays left—and one more double-point night looming—the championship is still wide open!

Enjoy the holiday weekend, Mavericks, and we’ll see you next week on the felt!
